Thanks for all the help! - 08.22.2008, 10:01 PM

I just had one of the most wonderful happenings with this E-revo build up. And I was amazed. I run an RC8 with an RB C6, a BEC Jammin CRT with modded engines and a Slash with MM 7700 on 7.4 and 11.1 but this e-revo just overshadowed them all. With all the great help from you kind gentlemen, I put together a killer running and handling platform. I ended up with a Neu 1512 D/F, 14/62 gearing, MM/no fan,Spectrum 2channel, Hightec 333 oz in servo with a Proline alum. arm and heavy duty spring, an RX battery with CC ubec as an option, 4s Maxamps 6000 batts, 17mm hub adapters with GRP grips on LPR wheels Trax. sway bar kit. It was ballistic. Top speed, a radared 39 MPH, ungodly forward bite. Incredible turning radius on a mix of asphalt and dirt. I got 16 mins of running when I pulled off and the batts went on the double Hyperion at 7.45 volts! I ended the run with a wicked 3 min figure eight display on asphalt and immediately checked the temps. ESC 121F, Motor 107F and the batts were 92F and it was 84F ambient temp. I had smiles from ear to ear. I'm going to run it at a small track on sat, clean her all up and then pack her up to be shipped to my son whom is stationed at Lakenheath in England. I'm sending all the stock stuff in case there is a local spec racing class but I doupt if he will want to run it with that stuff. What a present! Thanks again! Now I have to build me one.

The temps blew my mind, I was trying to get it to thermal to check it's true reliability before I send it off. I'm tempted to run more gear but I cant see using any more speed on a small track. The acceleration is so quick that any more speed would render it too fast for any tracks I run on. I wonder if the 1512 would run on 3s in my Slayer conversion build. I didnt mention that the powerband was gigantic and super smoooooth and may scratch the slayer for another e-revo with a diet program. I will give full a track report after tomorrow and decide if I will give my new Hakko solder station a workout with a pair of fans if needed.
