castle creations external bec is dead - 02.10.2008, 12:37 PM

i have a external cc bec hooked up to a mamba max running a 8xl,4 cell,and i was driving yesterday and it just stopped working ,it will not turn on it will not do anything,anybody know short of calling cc that i can do,i wired it correctly just dont know

Check your solder joints, where the bec power wires attach to the main leads. You may have a cold solder joint. i only say this as I had issues just like you and that was the culprit!

Mine did this also, but it was because one on the wires came loose from the circuit board. It was no biggie to fix. I just cut the shrink back and soldered the wire back onto the board.
