I would like to buy a big neu to play with, but just can't see dropping the cash for one. I recently scored a big aveox motor brand new and intend to run it in my savage on 8s. It is an 1100 kv motor.
It seems like the benifits of a better, more effecient motor are more obvious in a lower voltage system. I am guessing that the amp spikes and current requirements show the benifit of the high grade motors more than the lower current draw and relatively smooth draw that a hv setup produces.

From what I have observed with my Hacker 9xl, 10xl and 8L I would say they are just 1 notch below the Neu and Lehner, but the Hackers are 3 notches above a Feigao. This is with relation to the amount of heat they generate. If you have a Hacker XL motor that is working well for you, I dont think you will see any giant leaps when you go to Neu or Lehner Like you would going from a Feigao. But you may be able to carry an extra tooth or 2 on a similar kv Neu if you really want to push a setup.
I am perfectly happy with my Hacker and am not rushing to replace it for lack of any performance. I currently have it setup in my whipping boy buggy. The one that I just beat the snot out of and it just keeps going and going.
On the other hand.... Once you go Neu you will never want to buy anything else for you prime setups. The rest just become experimentaly motors.
BTW: My Hackers are B50 series, not C50. So I am running the RCM Clamp/Heatsink for the clamoing function, not so much for the heatsink function.
