Maxx 2008 - almost done - 02.20.2008, 09:26 AM

All I am waiting for is second pair of 8ight shocks for rear (right now I just put there my good old ofna shocks) and true-trak arms.

and of course need to mount wing

G3 chassis
DUH engineering lowered towers
8ight shocks
hybrids (front 7k, rear 5k oil)
custom center diff inside tranny (20k WT oil)
D9000T servo w/ proline steering kit
custom upper arms (7075-T6 alu)
3905 maxx receiver boxx
pics shown with Align600XL I wanted to test but Neu is now back :)

Maxx was just too shiny so I gave him a mud makeover :)

I am very happy with the handling, just need to tune shocks a bit.

Very nice. How do you like the bad lands? Do they balloon a lot?

I've been using them since summer last year, they are taped and all holes glued so they dont baloon that much

it's a neat idea, the rpm true tracks, but i never had a problem with rear turnbuckles, IMO the truck looked better with the aluminum knuckles and matching lower arms on all four corners, but that's just me, lets see some video!

yeah I will probably replace the orange arms with black again and you dont see knuckles when wheels are on :)

I like the true-trak as i dont have to bother taking out my setup station and seting camber and toe-in. It just makes my life easier. Also we dobt have any official EP truck races yet so setup does not matter that much

video depends on weather. we had couple very nice days but it looks like it's gona be almost freezing and raining over weekend

thanks Serum, i totally missed that. looks like we have to improve the design of the arms (well friend who made them has to :) ) as the arm is twisted a lot. and its made from high grade 7075-T6 aluminum

true-trak is a full set - lower, upper arm, carriers, bearings. you will need to add- pillow balls and dust boots

i would make it more like a V, with the large parts of the legs of the V facing the truck. (only needs to be about 5-7mm wider at the bulk)

Looks good. What wheel hexes are those? They look like 17mm, but not the ones that I am familiar with

I can't decide if its more fun
to make it...
or break it...
