MBX R2 on cheep power - 03.25.2008, 11:47 AM

Here is a video of my buggy on budget parts
Motor feigao 9L = $49.00
Sentilon 100amp HV $99.00

Not that I wanted to do a budget build , its just the stuff I had kicking around , the Sentilon ESC works great but you will need mechanical brakes to slow down ,the speed we figure with the 11T pinion is around 35mph . ultimately it will be 1515 1/Y powered on a 4Cell lipo pack . The next motor I want to try will be a plett Maxximum

Very good and cheap project!!!!!

I had the same idea of your putting a sentilon on my buggy and going with 9s A123.

I have a question for you:

how do you brake your buggy?
I don't see a servo for braking, but the sentilon as a not proportional brake...How do you do?

Looks great. I have the same question about the braking. How were you doing it? Was it just all or nothing brakes?

Dang those are some serious battery wires you got there.

I can't decide if its more fun
to make it...
or break it...

Silent...But Deadly

Because the floor is so slick the brakes coming on max isn't a big issue , will connect up some mechanicals soon . The sentilon is a all or nothing ESC unfortunately . This is just to bash with in a wide open space so until I smash into something for now it will not be a big deal

Wires are 8Awg speaker wire
