need help with the Align 600L Brushless Motor - 03.11.2008, 11:32 PM

I came across these and was wondering how they compare to other Brushless motors on the market and can this be used in the 1/8th scale applications? If anyone can give me a comparision to like the Nue motors or others that would help me undersatnd the differance between this and that.

If you want one just keep an eye on ebay, they go for about 40-60 bucks with light use.

The motor is a hybrid inrunner-outrunner mix. Plenty of torque, more than a feigao. Good motor for 5s to 6s. Spool up is slower than an inrunner, effecientcy is better than most, but not comparable to a neu. Not a bad motor for a buggy, but may be too small for a truggy, the xl version would be better for a heavier vehicle.

I have a 600XL. It's in my Rustler. I think the XL would be ok for a truggy as long as it wasn't 100% aluminum. 35K on 6s at full rev with 1600W continuous power handling. Sounds like a good racing setup, maybe a little underpowered for bashing.
