Which setup to run... - 03.20.2008, 09:03 PM

Tossing around a bunch of different ideas on motor/voltages...

This will be going in my twin force, so I will probably run 2 Lipos in series (one on each side of the side plates)

Right now I'm running a BK 9920, 7XL and 14 GP3300 cells, and I am thinking about going LiPo.

Now my question is would the 7XL run the same if not better, on a 4 S MaxAmp 5000 mAh pack?

Or should I start looking into something else? Maybe a Neu motor on 4S, or a Lehner?

OR, should I throw the whole system out the window, and opt for a new 6S setup.. Seeing that I want to run 2 packs in series, so I'd have 3S on each side, that way I could have a buncha 3S packs to run in a smaller vehicle (CRT.5 or Stampede, etc)

I know a 7XL on 4s can get pretty hot pretty fast. I really like my 6s set up with a neu, I can't seem to get it more than barely warm (batts, esc, motor) no matter how hard I try!
