What to know About the Mamba max? - 03.21.2008, 05:08 PM

Hello all, I have an Earlier version of the Monster max (yellow label) and am planning to run A Turnigy 50-55b 600kv Outrunner-direct drive. My questiong is with a fan on the ESC can i run 5s lipo?

If not, what needs to be done?

If it'll run on 5s like the earlier ones should do, then a fan and maybe a Novak power capicitor would be worthy additions to keep it cool (solder the cap across the battery leads, close to the esc as possible & in parallel > + to +, - to -).

True, but its always nice to solder on extra stuff for the hell of it :D

See what the temps do with just the fan first, then decide if you need the cap or not.

Not certain of the specific firmware # code, but if I just say 'the lastest version' which can be downloaded, then that will be the one :D

Hey BB.

It's an earlier version of the MM. I had already upgraded it with the newest firmware so you should be good to go. It should do fine on 5s, just watch those temps!!

Get the latest firmware (V1.17 think) Its in the 3.04 castle link update

Work because i gotta, play because i wanna

People here hate Nitro, I love it. I start it, run it about 50 ft from me and it dies, I go after it. Perfect exercise
