Losi 8ight-T good for brushless conversion? - 04.11.2008, 07:48 AM

Hello!

I'm going to convert a 1:8 truggy this summer. Maybe a Losi 8ight-T Race Roller because I can easily get parts to it if something breaks. I'll go for the Mamba Monster Max combo and a 4 or 5s Polyquest LiPo depending on how much cash I'll get after my summer-job. But now my plans may change. Because I've read some rumours on a swedish forum that the Losi truggy and buggy has a too big angle on the fron driveshaft so it won't handle the power from a NEU motor, and also that the whole drivetrain will become loose fast. Is that true?

No. I pitted with two guys who have E-8T's. They were awesome and held up to some tremendous abuse. They both lasted an entire race season without the problems you mentioned.

I have two full seasons on my 8ight B and I have only replaced the front drive pin twice.

That's nice to hear. Just wanted to make sure because it has quite big angle on the front driveshaft. But good to hear that there aren't any to worry about Thanks!

Nice truck and buggy btw Badassrevo! Thumbs up!
