Cool which motor to get now?? - 02.07.2009, 09:16 PM

since my bid product motor is toast i was thinking waht motor i should get?
i dont want to spend more than 160 bux on one and i want something reliable that wont heat up just messing around. right not im geared at 21/68 but i have spare spurs that i cant find. i was thinking about getting the 2200kv MMM motor but wasnt sure about it. i ahvea 3905 emaxx with rpm everything and im going to order the flm chassis as well when i get the motor. i use a 4s 4000mah 20c batt. i want decent speeds but plenty of torque to turn moabs and paddles.
thanks !

4000mah packs are on the low side, if your packs get abnormally too warm/hot go up to 5000 packs

yeah i know i plan to get another 4s pack or maybe a 5s zippy pack.

and traxxas BL proof truck isnt strong enough for the MMM combo? dam i didnth think that would be a problem. or are you saying just because they wear out faster then normal with BL. i would like to get the 2200kv castle nue but what about the medusa?

I second the recommendation of the MMM 2200kv motor. For $140 it's a heck of a nice motor.

there is about a $15 price difference between a 70 mm Medusa and a Castle Neu either one would be fine its more of a preference, but if it was me I would go with the Neu

I would go with a NEU 1521 1.5D. Best all around motor I have ran so far.

Serpent S811-E Tekin
Revo 3.3 BL- 1515 1Y
Mugen MBX6 NEU/MMM
Mugen MBX6-T NEU/MMM
Losi LST2.0 MT NEU/MMM
Losi 8T RTR 2.0 NEU/MMM
Losi 8T 2.0 NEU/MMM
Losi 8B-E 2.0 NEU/MMM
