question about position of battery box on mbx-5

I would like an opinion on where to mount the battery box on my mbx-5. Some of you mount it toward the rear and others I have seen have been mounted more or less centered next to c/diff. I understand that the weight distribution plays a large part in the position of the box. Is there really a large difference in mounting the box at the end of the chassis as opposed to centering it?

Just curious as to your individual results, success.
