Work because i gotta, play because i wanna

People here hate Nitro, I love it. I start it, run it about 50 ft from me and it dies, I go after it. Perfect exercise

Interesting, looks like the feigao sensored esc that I saw somewhere, the motors look familiar too.

Looking at the spec, it may even handle 4s with the bec disable. That would be good for the 13.5 novak motor, as it looks like a good 4s motor. I may have to try one out!

I'm happy with my 4S sensored system from HW and I'm having difficulties having them sold here in the US as they make ESC for Speed Passion, Venom and soon Orion. I told them I would make enough changes to the ESC that they would not be like the above mentioned, but the guy from HW still said he doesn't want to loose friendship with Speed Passion. I'll keep trying.

I'll tell this here first to keep some kind of record.

The last time I spoke with HW I asked for a spare power board so I could send the ESC and board to GriffinRU to do his magic. The HW guy said he would talk to his engineers if it could be done. I gave him plenty of info and told him GriffinRU already has done this with the MM and that Tekin and a company called Team New Wave (http://www.rctech.net/forum/showthread.php?t=214329) are doing this already. I told him I could try it and if that worked out I told him I would have the controllers made like that and with some changes to the programming. He then said I should just wait for the 1/8 scale controller and I have also heard that Speed Passion will release a 1/8 scale controller. What really stinks is that I contacted HW almost 2yrs ago asking them to make a car controller, specially an HV one. I asked HW to make a HV 1/8 scale controller and all I get is that he has to talk to his engineer. So for the time being I have to just wait and see what will happen.

It's strange how they conduct business. If I were them and someone wanted to place a good order, I would go for it. I guess they are getting plenty of business from Speed Passion. All I know is that what I told HW to do for my controller is here in this thread and I hope Speed Passion, Venom and Orion won't show up with something similar.

I wonder if its because they have signed some kind of contract with the other companies, not to reproduce their escs (even if its not identical).

I like the look of the New-wave esc though, very clean design.

HW keeps saying something about freindship with Speed Passion, but that doesn't make any sense because Venom will have the same system here in the US and soon Orion will have one as well. All he asked me was if I can place an order for 2000 units a year and I told him yes. I will not only focus the product here in the US, but also Brasil. We'll see what's going to happen.
