Neu 1515 3D VS Mega 22/45/2? - 04.19.2008, 06:03 PM

Well, first off, just by impressions, most of you will say the Neu. Here is what I know about the motors individually:
KV:
Neu: 1360, Mega: 1380
Poles:
Neu: 4, Mega: 6

So, which do you all think is better? Spending an extra $80 on a Neu will not bother me if it is clearly the better choice. I would like the one with more torque, better temps and hopefully, the smoother of the two. Which do you think is up to par?

The mega in theory will have more torque (6 poles vs 4), but if you are willing to spend the extra, then the Neu would be my choice.

Neu is only my choice due to it being here in the US and in case of repair they only need to be sent here. If Mega had a repair center here in the US then that would be my 1st choice, specially due to the price and being a 6 pole motor.

mega does have support here in the states www.megamotorusa.com . i own a 22/45/2 it makes torque like a diesel and its plenty smooth. it pushes a 12lb 43" cat to 40mph pulling less than 30 amps at 26.4v. cant compare it to a neu but the smallest motor u are supposed to use in this boat is a lmt 2250.

Support yes, but any repairs/warrenty issues have to be sent back to the Czech.republic for repair = long waiting times.
