Diff Oil? - 05.21.2008, 01:02 PM

When i change the spur on center diff of my CRT, will diff oil come gushing out? Since i'm sitting in the wheelchair, i dont want it to splash out, get on my croch, and look like i pissed myself!

you shouldn't have a problem if you hold the center diff with the spur gear on top, and the cup on bottom. just carefully lift the spur gear off.

diff oil is generally not very 'splashy'.... whatcha got in there...water?

You'll have no issues, just take your time and use a shop towel on your lap.. What weight do you have in there?? I'm using 30,000 in mine and it thicker than maple syrup

How was your race this weekend??.

Have a great one Fast5sRevo88

I had to laugh at the last part. It should have 5-7k weight oil in the center. I would go up to 30k if you plan to run brushless!

Well the race got pushed off due to the canoe race at the track(lot of rain) and the lightning, lightning doesn't mix with antennas (aka lightning rods). I kinda caught a break though since i haven't got the crt converted yet. I will keep you posted though.
