Will a Mamba Monster work with a CC BEC??? - 05.14.2008, 03:02 PM

You know if I cut the red wire that goes to the receiver to disable the mamba monster's bec, will it work???

Because I want to use my CC BEC so I can turn the voltage up to my servos and increase reliability because it seems the mamba monster's bec has some issue's in some units out there.

I cant use my CC BEC with my current turnigy HV esc because it makes the esc glitch & cogg like crazy.

Don't "cut" it -just tease it out of the plug and yes it should be fine with a bec.

Yes, it will work fine. I don't know if it will keep a faulty internal bec from quitting because it will still be powering the fan and brain board but it surely won't hurt to take some of the load off of it.

Would this work? Looking at just making a 1" servo extension lead without the read wire on the extension so I don't have to disconnect the red wire from the esc, so then I could just disconnect the ext. lead to connect it to the pc without having to reconnect the red wire all the time?

I usually use short servo extensions with the red wire pulled from the extension for my mamba max. Much easier than pulling the wire out of the connector.
