Center diff Maxx? -

Anybody running a center-diff setup in their maxx? If so how did you go about it? Something entirely custom, or maybe a conv kit out there somewhere?

I will be running a center diff in my maxx w/ the FLM chassis. I am waiting on a custom mount from Mike which will mount the motor above the center diff. To my knowledge there is no kit for a conversion. To have it done right i would contact Mike and have him make you one..good luck Here's one Mike made for another customer which will look like the one he will be making me.

Yea I am interested in acquiring one of those as well. I have a home made custom one now that I picked up for someone else on RCM, but that RCM custom setup looks very professional. I will also be sending Mike a request for one of those. Thanks for the info.

Oh yeah; that would work nicely... I'd be looking to use it on a flat-pan T-maxx alum chassis. As long as this special mount still leverages the original tranny mounting holes/pattern it should work just fine.
Maybe we can get Mike to make up a small batch (half dozen) and get some decent pricing out of it?

I sent Mike an email yesterday about this asking if we could work something out for a couple of these. I did express that there was interest and that he would probably sell a few of them. I am interseted in two maybe more if the price is fair. I have not heard anything back from him just yet. So we will just have to wait and see if he will be willing to help us out.

I sent one too and referenced this thread...

And for the record; I will buy one today if Mike agrees to build it!

To quote Arnie in 'Predator':
"Do it! Dooo itttt!"
I'd like one for the Gmaxx chassis, but the only way to get it to work without having it sticking up above the chassis rails... is to machine custom chassis rails, something like this: RC p0rn

Now that is freakin sweet. That thing is one of those hop ups that will sell like hotcakes. I know I will purchase at least two of them right up front. man that is a nice piece of artwork. Come on Mike break it down and put some of these on the RCM shelves. It may not be as big as the MMM, but it will still be high in demand. Nice photos. Where did you pull those up from?

Wait just one minute. Are you saying that you have the 1/8 diff gears installed inside your EMaxx tranny??? I have not read anything about doing that here in RCM since I logged on about a year ago. Do you have any pics of this and/or a link/thread that shows how you did this? I would like to see/hear more on this matter.

Of Course -

Of course the custom RCM center diff mount in the post above would be the ideal rig, because it is simple and it looks like a really good piece of aftermarket engineering, but this could be a nice option as well. I had never seen that thread before. Thanks for mentioning/sharing it with us again. Now I have to take a look at some of my equipment to see if either that would work well, or if there is another option for the same kind of setup in the EMaxx tranny case. Without seeing your entire build it is a little hard to see exactly how all of that works together. Just maybe there is another way to make that happen with less work. Interesting perspective. Thanks.

very easy. all is needed is the coupler for second speed gear. standard 1/8 diff. one revo axle stub and one little bit longer shaft with two holes or one hole and flat spot
