pinion and spurs...some questions - 06.10.2008, 11:17 PM

I run 48p steel pinion and a plastic spur. I can only fit 35ish(maybe 36) and a 76spur. I will be getting my gps this week and would like to go to a 68p gears becuase there are more of a selection with them and hopefully will go faster with a bigger pinion and smaller spur.

Ok now the questions. I really like the Ti pinions for the weight plus they are only 5 bucks but I'm not sure if I should stay with a plastic spur or go metal. Does the plastic have any benefits or metal? Are there any issues with harmonics with using both metal spur and pinion? thanks.

if you are using 48p gears I am assuuming you are running a Rustler, I would go in the opposite direction with the pitch my fav is MOD 1, and I would stay with the plastic spur, the metal to metal spur to pinion do make a distinct louder sound. I use Revo spurs on my Rustler
