Medusa motors

I just talked to Jeff Little earlier asking for an update on my 36-60-2000Kv motor and he said that they will be shipping next week. He also stated that the 70 and 80mm cans will be available by mid-August.

Since I already bought a Neu 1515 1Y, I might sell my medusa when it arrives.

I will be interested in the 70 and 80 mm versions for sure. so far I am really pleased with the power of my 60mm if I can only get the temps in check.

I think 70mm will be enough for me, although, 80mm would be nuts, and my A123s and MMM can handle that.....

So how do these motors compare to Neu's in terms of size and power?

60mm = 1512
70mm = 1515
80mm = 1521

Am I correct in assuming this?

I still have my 60 backordered but I'm now thinking of canceling that and just order a 70mm can. I still have my Neu 1515 to bash with the truck.

I'm kinda wondering if a 60mm would be enough for a 1/8 buggy. I didn't like the L can in the buggy, but love the XL in it...but then the medusa is a different beast. Opinions anyone?

It will be interesting to see how these stack up against the castle neu as they will be in about the same price bracket won't they?

More motors choices are aways good. Dont think I can wait til mid august though. My e-revo should be here today so I will either being ordering a tekno nue or a 60mm medusa soon.

I am using the 60mm 1500kv motor in my hyper8 and it works fine. Definately makes more power than an L can.

The 60mm easily pulls a buggy, and the 50mm works great too. I was running the 50-2200 in my 8ight for a while and it did great. I've since switched to a 6s setup on in the 8ight with a MM and the 60-1300, and put the 50-2200 in my Revo with a MM on 4s. and I'm running the 60-1300. I ran the 60mm at the JBRL exhibition 1/8 scale race and it was great. Here's a link to the video of the race that my wife shot on ricemans camera. I'm the only buggy running a black wing, car #4.

I'll be waiting for the 70mm for my MBX5T and now that they might do the 80mm, I'll be waiting for that one for my BPP .

I think I'll be getting the 4800 50mm for my CRT.5. Should work good on 2s and 3s.
