Front body mounts on CRT.5 - 06.09.2008, 05:16 PM

Anyone else keep destroying them besides me? Seems like every 3-4 runs when I flip I manage to mangle them or rip them straight off. Sucks to have to buy the whole front bumber kit piece for two little pieces of plastic.

Has anyone come up with a solution or recommendation where I can get just that part in quantity cheaply?

I cut off stampede / rustler body mounts and just drill through them...

Helps to also add a flat spot on them...

Could you elaborate a little?

Take a set of stampede rear or front posts - Cut off top 20mm or so.

They are round posts so to mount easier against tower dremel a flat surface on both posts.

Live up against tower at desired height - Drill 2,5mm hole through post (through mount hole on tower).

Affix with 3mm machine screw and locknut

Put them on the back side of the shock tower. I broke a couple mounted in the stock position on the front of the shock tower, but it's been months without breaking them mounted on the back side. You will probably have to drill new body mount holes.
