Want to do an LS10, but which one? - 06.13.2008, 10:11 AM

Been wanting to do a HB Lightning for a while, but now trying to figure out which one would be best.

Choices from HB and Tower are:
-GT10 Sport (I am leaning towards this one as I already have RC-M CRT.5)
-LS10 (original)
-LS10 Sport (appears to be newer LS10 but can't see the differences)

There's also the L10 and L10 Sport, but was swaying away from doing a buggy - even though it would be a strong alternative to just getting a 1/10 EP 4WD buggy.

Assuming the RCM mount (http://www.rc-monster.com/proddetail...d=rcmst10mount) will fit all of these variations on the LS10.

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

I would say the GT10 due to the suspension. Everything else is basically the same with the GT10 vs the LS10. Well, except for the wheels and bodies.

The GT10 has twice as many shocks which isn't the best for maintenance, but it's so much better for handling. When I did my LS10 that was one of the donwsides and I was actually going to convert it to the GT10 shock setup. And besides, the tires on the LS10 are horrible anyway so changing to some nice Proline Snakeyes is needed no matter which truck you go with. When I put the Prolines on my LS10 it improved handling tremendously. Hope that helps!
