what a mess

well things are going pretty good on the soldering end and all the proper connections have been made......getting ready to do a final instal and get everything wired up....I happen to notice a smart stop in a box of parts. When I looked into it, it appears he bought the wrong one. it reads 4 Cell. The battery he has is a MaxAmps 3S 5000 11.1. so Im guessing I cant use this smart stop.....even tho this stuff was all free....it's given me a headache,

what esc are u using. most escs now days have cutoffs. u can program, eliminating the need for the smart stop.

"Includes Novak's Smart-Stop 4-Cell Li-Po Cut-Off Module (#5471) to monitor Li-Po battery pack voltage" does that mean its extra or incorporated?? seems stupid to have it as an extra outside the esc... u may want to check this.

Its not built-in, its an external unit that is wired upto the esc power leads. The novak hvmaxx esc is intended to be ran on 2x 2s lipo, hence the 4s lipo LVC. What vehicle is this being plumbed into? The 4.5 motor version of the system is too much on 4s in an MT, and fries the esc usually, but the 6.5 motor version does brilliantly on 4s lipo.
