Thumbs up ebay questions - 07.01.2008, 10:27 AM

I am becoming a more frequent seller on ebay and have never yet bought anything I have only sold items. It is time for me to buy something and I just had a few questions regarding the purchasing of an item.

1.) Is it relatively idiot proof when paying someone using paypal once you won a bid or are there some specific steps I need to note.
2.) Are there any charges/extra fees I need to pay when buying the item except for the final cost and the shipping. For example if the item is $150USD and shipping is free, is it safe to deposit 150 into the paypal account, or do i need to add sightly more money to paypal account for miscellaneous fees.
3.) Are there any other things i should know when buying. it looks pretty simple but i just wanted to make sure i am on the right track.

Thanks

1. Very simple - idiot proof. just enter email and pwd - checkout process deals with everything much like a store
2. none
3. I never transfer money into PP - they just deduct from my account as needed.

should be no other fees for buying an item. It does have fees for the seller as you know form your selling history. It is very simple. Only thing is add your bank account and any other cards well before you plan to buy because sometimes it takes a few days for a card or account to be confirmed. If you have done this already from selling then you are set.
Oh and just transfer funds directly from your bank account or card of your choice, no need to deposit money in it before hand.
