rebuilding diffs - 07.07.2008, 12:14 AM

im planning on using heavier diff oil on my 3905 emaxx. do i just add the oil or do i regrease the gears with grease too?
also, i have two ripped gaskets and one o-ring. if the case is not the above mentioned, am i reassembling the diff wrong? i'm don't think i'm putting too much or too little oil either and i'm turning the gears before putting the ring gear back on.

What are you planning on going with (front & Rear) ?? I'm running 7k in the front and 5k in rears

Just install of your gears and pour the oil into the diff, the oil should be filled just above all of the diff gears, just turn the gears to ensure proper displacement.

My diffs (hybrid) have (2) o-rings and one gasket each diff so I cant help you there (sorry)

It pretty easy just have fun with it..

Hope that helps (??)

Have a great one

Shaun.
