i have had so much confusion on my savage that i don't rember what i bought my Y connector for? could you tell me what goes in the Y connectior? i think it was my mechanical break and my ESC but i can't rember.

So wait a sec here, if you hook a Y connecter between the esc and a 2nd servo, it will brake for the esc? That is sweet indeed.

That is the idea. If you run the two speed auto of the savage. The motor will not brake for you. So you need the y and the mechanical brake.

But how can the esc not brake while it is receiving the command to do so? It look's like both the servo and esc will brake, or am I wrong?

Yes, but the esc cannot supply any breaking force to the transmission due to the one way bearing for the 2-speed but it will still stop the motor unless you can disable the esc brake.

Àhh that's right. So can you still use this if you put a center diff in without a one way? Or will it cause problem's?

You could,no need though unless you want adjustable front/rear bias.Total overkill in terms of braking power to use both,if you can disable the esc brakes you can use just mechanical,more weight and clutter though.

saves a bit of stress on the esc but it's not really worth it unless you really prefer mechanical brakes or the car really needs the bias adjustment.

If you really need the bias adjustment i'd use mechanical brake on the front outdrive only and still use the esc brakes aswell,i think the rear brake and linkage would probably get in the way of the motor. Then just use the linkage and EPA to adjust the bias.Won't cause any problems for the esc but you need to find the space.
