Need your opinion on the new MMM

Ok i finally got my MMM (this is not my 2month old preorder but something I bought 5 days ago from Ebay, funny it got to me first ). I soldered up everything, pre-configured via usb link. connected everything and calibrated with my 3PK and everything worked (for 1/4 throttle only since MMM is not yet mounted on the truck) but now Im on a dilema...I am using a servo that runs on 6V-7.4V and I know MMM only support 5.5V BEC, do you think the MMM can handle the servo or should I use a CCBEC that I have ( i know its risky also but better choose the lesser evil if possible) and configure it for something like 6.3V and disable the MMM BEC?

Hope to hear something from CC or any experts out there. I have about 12hrs before my fingers get to the throttle again.

A servo that will run on 7.4v will draw less current on 5.5v. The torque and speed go down as well obviously, but the lower current requirements should be fine with the internal MM BEC current-wise.

got it....well nothing to do now but try if MMM dies then wait again for the next batch

If you want a good servo that will not cost alot and still perform well on 5.5 volt's look at the Hitec 985MG I have one in my E-MAXX and ran it with my MMM and had lot's of steering power.I would go that way rather than running a BEC and chancing it your radio equipment.I know alot of people go way to crazy with using servo's that are way to powerful for what they need,I remeber on rctech.net a kid was asking what he needed for a steering servo for a RC10B4 2wd buggy every tool that gave his 2 cent's worth was telling the kid he needed at 220 to 333OZ,all I know for sure is that for a little 2wd Buggy you do not need any more than 120oz of Torque.

I hear you wade....but if you see my E-Maxx its a 13-15lbs truck with 6.4" x 4" wheels..this is no stock EMAXX..I know hitec works well..i'll take that into consideration...thanks
