E-Revo is on its way!! - 08.04.2008, 02:19 PM

Just got back from my LHS and my E-revo should be here withen a few days!!! Im thinking ill run it with the stock electronics for a bit so i can save up for a MMM speed control/motor combo, the stock esc doesn't have voltage cutoff does it? any recommendations for one to use with a couple 2s 25-30c packs?

On 6s the 1515/1y is above 50,000 rpm, Neu say not to go over 60 thousand but ive heard guys on here say to try to keep it in the 40's. Will 6s be too much for the 1y?

I think they recommend 40 for race use as anymore than that and you can't control the buggy/truck on the track and it acts similar to a nitro in rpm range.

For bashing plenty of guys run there motors in the 50s that i know without a problem.
Remember manufacturers specs would be a bit conservative so if Neu say not to go over 60 running in the 50s you will be fine .

thanks!!! Ill most likely start out with 4s, and once i get used to that and save up i might go to 6s, so i just want to make sure that the motor will handle it ok.

Will A finned can 1515/1y fit without having to grind off some of the fins, I have seen that some people have had to do this.
