brushed revo?? -
10.18.2005, 04:18 PM
im really despertate rigth now, i have a craving for electricity! should i just convert my revo into brushed, and when i do find a good deal, i'll install it later? I see a decetn deal for a evx with mild max motors. Course its no 9L but its a stepping stone ot it. Either way ima have to do buy brushed cuz when i get tired fo the Erevo or want to convert something else, i'll stick teh brushed on it and sell on ebay! What you think? Should i turn to the dark side?

Easycool, man. Take a deep breath.
Dude, if you wanna convert a nitro to electric, you can always do the work before you get the actual motor. And, if you can bolt on a brushed setup, in the name of science, even better!
Have you ever had/seen a stock maxx? Well, an EVX'ed Revo is very similar in performance. But I would stay away from this 14V aftermarked brushed motors for the maxx. Stick to Titans.

lol, sry, i walked into my room and saw all my rc cars, and i had a high that only drugs can top. Well, hmm, i was thinking what about 540 motors? Would they run on evx or would i have to get super rooster? Maybe 19t reedy quad mags! lol, that woudl rip!!

Quad Mags wouldn't generate enough torque.

really? would any other 540 motor generate enough torque? I've had an e-maxx before and teh torque with the titans seems kinda excessive (if there is such a thing).

Not sure, I guess some decent 27t motors should do it.

If this were my Revo, I wouldn't waste money on a brushed setup. It is just going to cost extra money, and in the end, you will lose money. Just be patient. You ever know what it's like to not be able to drive for 3 months? I've had to go for periods of time like that just because I was saving up. As it is right now, it's been 2 months since I last drove one of my RCs. Just wait for your Revo(s) to sell, and by then you will have enough for a new BL system.

if you have the money i wouldnt buy a used setup. not to wise being there wont be a warranty on the esc which could end up costing you more.

im hoping to buy from trustworthy people like you guys, cuz i know all of u guys take care of ur stuff. Well, i would need at least evx and titans eitehr way. More then ilike, when i wanna move to a diff project, i'll keep the system, but the revo wotn sell much if it aint rtr.

Get some multiplex permax 600's and an evx @ 12 cell's. That will rip slightly better than the titan's. So what's so special about these motor's you ask? They are 8,50 a piece at tower's.
I recommand using a fan on the evx and heatsink's on the motor's if your running on 12 cell's. Don't be fooled by the sticker, it can take it.
