Safe charging rate of a 4s 4800mah pack 25c - 08.16.2008, 10:24 AM

Right now I am charging the batts. at 4 amps. Could I go as high as 5?


1. MBX-6 T8 1900KV, RX8 ON 4S
2. MBX-5T 1520, MMM ON 5S
3. MBX-5 ONROAD CONVERSION 1515, MMM ON 5S
4. MRX-3 ON ROAD CONVERSION 1512, MMM ON 6S
5. TEN T 2650 T8, MMP ON 3S

you shouldn't have a problem... why not just charge @ 4.8 Amperes instead?

I just want to be sure and not ruin a 130- battery. The batt. did not come w/safe charge rates on it so I have been charging it at 4 amps. I need to charge it today so i will up the amps.......thanks..

charge at 1c for all lipos except for high performance ones that specifically state you can charge at 2c. So your batt can charge at 4.8a max.

you can charge a Flightpower pack at 2.5c if you wanted to but it shortens the pack life and it doesnt speed up the process that much

anyone know what the max rate on zippy-r? they look to me like polyquest failures (didnt meet the 5000mah or voltage requirement) so techincally could probably do 2c? not about to try but just another usual hijack

I would only charge those at 1c unless they say you can, I wouldnt try unless you would like to be the guinea pig
