Fastlane or GPM or WHAT?!!! - 10.21.2005, 07:49 PM

Long time ago I bought a B4 and now I've sold it and kept all the hop ups that I added to it to my T4. These hop ups are: Trinity aluminum hubs and rear uprights, trinity alum. bulkhead, trinity aluminum suspension brace, alum battery strap, lunsford turnbuckles and suspension shafts, and few other things. Now, I want to make the truck 70%-85% aluminum or metallic and one good friend at this forum led me to GPM racing products who offers a large selection of aluminum parts like gear cases, arms, steering arms, shock towers, rear wing mount, rear chassis suspension mount, etc. K-factory racing also has a good but not wide selection of hop ups. If anyone of you has any info from fastlane machines about releasing aluminum kits for the t4 like they did with the e-maxx and rusty then I'll surely wait untill it comes out and go for it, but if there is no chance at all, then GPM racing is my only chance and it would be great if Mike can get them. What is bad about the GPMs is that it is a chainese company, but it looks incredibly and neatly made and cheap as well. Here is the place: www.asiatees.com/aboutus.php and here is the mother company at the U.S: www.gpmracing.us I hope to make my t4 dazzle one day:cool:

Funny thing is, not all gpm part's are cast. Or that's what i've been told. I don't know anymore. The only thing I do know about gpm is that it's weak, cheap aluminum that will bent easely. I'd stay as far away from them as possible.

They produce a staggering number of parts.i don't know what grade of alu they use but i thought most of it is machined.Alot of machined parts are machined castings anyway not from billet. All i know is their definition of titanium is really funny,i know from experience that it's one of the softest alloys i've ever come across.i think it's like 0.1% Ti or something.

Yeah, fastlane is superiour to gpm..

For the small cars (mini-t etc) they sometimes have got nice parts, other companies don't have. So that's what is nice about them.

The emaxx gearbox for example. I've seen the most expensive truck with this gpm box.

Yes, i use alot GPM parts that no one else makes on my TLT axled trucks and they seem fine. You can't really argue with the prices on alot of their stuff too.Alot of the I-net stuff seems to be GPM although they don't seem to mention it.Not that i'm accusing them of passing off cheap import parts as their own.

So, I'll wait for fastlane untill they act benevolently and release an aluminum chassis kit for the T4. I better keep it carbon graphite for the mean time.

Mike is not responding. I wonder why? Well, about the GPM prods. they're made of T6 aluminum and they are CNCed as well. Those who said that they're casted were right, but that was quite a few years. They now as they claim are using CNC technology. What do you think people? should I get some of them and see or should I wait for Mike to help me with Fastlane? I'm terribly confused.
