Converting a Savage - 09.04.2008, 12:10 AM

G'day,

I have been looking around at monster trucks and want to go brushless but think to get what I want I will need to go the conversion of a nitro to get it.

I like the look of the FLM Savage conversion - is this the same one listed in the RC Monster shop?

Has anyone done a Kershaw Designs conversion? - it is a lot cheaper although has the batteries on the outside of the chassis.

I think I will be looking around for a second hand Savage to do.

Thanks

I have tried the flm savy conversion and it is very nice/expensive. I have a spare kershaw motor mount laying around... Give you a deal on it if you want?!?!? Brand new, just have no use for it...

Well, I bought a Savage new minus the engine and associated parts and will be slowly putting it together and then decide what ESC/motor combo to go for. I will probably keep the mechanical brakes and just see how it all works out.

Any tips for what servo's to go with? I will be running a Futaba 3pm radio as I already have one for 2 other cars and like it. Need to get receiver and servo's for the Savage.
