The art of deception - 09.03.2008, 10:49 PM

Been working on a way to get the neighbor kids lunch money. Maybe he'll fall for this and want to race a Nikko.......

Hacked up a body of a Nikko Super Dictator.

Don't you just hate those VH1 Popups!

lol, that actually looks kinda cool! Different from the tired old CP body styles. I think that's why the CORR concept is so popular right now; before you just had MT, buggy, truggy (MT with a different underpinning), ST (again, too much like a MT) and onroad car. Time for some new blood!

Still trying to find a motor I like in it. It's 3s on a MM tried the medusa 36-50-3300, Feigoa 12s, and Novak 6.5. The 6.5 I liked but couldn't get the stuttering at start up to a acceptable level. Started making me stuter my profainity. Only got a little bit of time on the 12s today. It ran cooler then the medusa. I got some smaller pinions coming to try the medusa again. But may have to put remove the center diff and put the slipper and spur back on or mod the motor mount to get the smaller pinions to mesh. I'm thinking about getting a couple the KB motor of different KV's just to play around with in the differnt RCs.

Some of the Nikko/Radio shack bodies turn out pretty good. I will look to see if I got a picture of it but the Radio Shack Black Phanton is a formula one style. Had it on the rustler for a long time. Looked pretty cool. These hard plastic make one hell of a noise when they are sliding down the pavement of their lids. I'm sure the neighbors think it a real car wreck.

Only one I found of the Black Phanton was bad. Couldn't tell what it was. Here's a couple of the other ones that I got to fit. The monza was pretty cool had the lights working on it. Took a hell of beatintg.

Here's a couple shots of the completed Super Dictator body I modded to fit the LS10. The blue body was cracked up and missing the rear wing. I just used it to test the fit out. This has a little different look to it with the smaller tires. I bought some slash tires at the LHS to try out on the ls10. I like the look of wide tires but the response of these is much better.

And for all the "other" perverts here at RCM who like to see it taken off. Here you go...

Keep in your pants boys!

It seems like you spent so much money getting this thing to look like a "toy" that it'd be hard to make any profit off the other kid's lunch money.

I put the slash tires on my rusty and it's sweet. What do you run your Nikko on NiCA or AA's?

It's a one of a kind. Got a new ls10 body to paint but haven't gotten in the mood to paint it yet.

Time = Money
I'd half to follow him all the way through High School to make any profit off it. I think he gets free lunches from the state anyway. Foiled again!

I haven't tried them on the Rusty yet. I will have to thrown them on there and check it out.

Can't think of a come back for the batteries. Maybe after my fruity pebbles.
