Thank You RC! - 09.15.2008, 03:37 AM

Thanks to RC I'm not sitting in complete darkness right now! Although it's no hurricane we are in the midst of a horrible windstorm right now. Downed trees and branches everwhere and no power, cable, or Internet. When I junked my last car I kept the battery cause I had just purchased it a few months before. Figured I could use that battery to run my chargers when I go race or run in a remote area. That battery is now powering my power inverter letting me have light and a fan blow on me! Also once again the iPhone to the rescue for Internet to keep me occupied.

Good luck to those on the gulf coast getting hit by hurricanes! Best advise I can give is just to be as prepared as you can!

we been with out power since saturday afternoon..... and we got a hell of a rain and wind strom too, we do have a 30,000KW generator that automatically comes on and runs our whole house like the pwoer never went off but we forgot to have the propane tank filled during the spring when we usually do, so we been with out it for the whole time only turning it on to cook and take showers.

but its been great i put the stock water proof stuff back in the slash and have been charging nimh packs off our boat battery with a little superbrain 820, and between it and the micro-ts we have been having a blast.
