mmm and mm waranty question

i was just wondering
i have just purchased a new m/monster from mike and have been reading about the mods to the outer case that people are doing on here
they are saying that aslong as you only mod the case (cut big holes in the bottom side)
that castle will honer the warranty
im over in england and and if i had to send it back to repair it i guess it would take some time
i was told for piece of mind to do the mod before i start using it
only becouse of a problem with the wire for the fan

i also use a m/max this gets a littlewarm so ive been told to add a fan to the heatsink and drill the bottom of the case and add a fan on the bottom .would this also be ok with the warranty if it needed any work

IIRC that you can do anything but solder to the board.

If the MM is in a monster or 1/8th scale (+5 lb) vehicle it is out of warranty. I don't think most people post when their MM blows up in a 1/8th scale vehicle but we sure see a lot of damage to MM controllers from doing this.

There is absolutely no need to cut the case or add a fan to the MMM once we get it sorted out. Why do something that is unneeded but can increase the risk of damage in a crash by weakening the case that will void the warranty?

in other words, if the cause of damage is the MODIFIED case it wont be covered but if its something else then what happens then? (e.g bec)
