What can you mod on esc's? - 10.05.2008, 10:58 AM

I know very little about electricity and have been on a learning curve since I got an e-maxx in March. I run an original 6.5 4400kv novak system with a fan and capacitor on the esc.

As i understand the esc sends signals ( similar to 3 phase power ) to the motor which shorts out and sends the signal back to the esc. The less turns on the motor the faster the current returns and the hottter the esc.

If I were to use a motor with thinner wire on the stator would this load the esc more or would it reduce the current and cool it?

The novak esc is fairly simple I guess as it has little to no options/variations. So, like my original question- what mod's can you do to an esc like the MM, MMM, sphere, quark etc...?
