Novak gtb and reedy neo motor -
11.12.2005, 01:54 PM
Ok, i know this is not the typical place to talk about sensored motors, but i have both sensored and sensorless systems.
the question is if anyone knows if the gtb can run the neo motor? i know the sphere is suppose to be able to run novak motors, does it work the other way?
thanks

sensored systems are funny. They aren't interchangable like nonsensored. But it would be and interesteing combo. I honestly kinda like the reedy esc considering its size.

The Novak and LRP are designed to work together, they have the same plugs for the sensors. The only thing you can't do is run the reedy motor with the ss controler. everything else is compatable
Work because i gotta, play because i wanna
People here hate Nitro, I love it. I start it, run it about 50 ft from me and it dies, I go after it. Perfect exercise

The GTB will run the neo one motor. No troubles there.

Rest assure. They're no match for a 6s motor.
The name is Alawi. You can call me Al.
Nice to meet you!

Which 6s? Beacuse the GTB 5.5 combo is apparently around the same speed as a Feigao 380c 6s. And my 540 6s only really shows its true potential in my trucks.

the 5.5 is a pretty fast motor. on 6 cells, it hsould be a tight race with the 6s, unless the vehicle is on the heavy side. The 6s can haul more a@$ with a load.

If I had the gtb/5.5, it would be a lot faster than my 6s I'm sure. The 6s is the biggest battery depender. Btw, it's a lot worse on 6 cells than on 7 cells. I may actually buy a new set of gp3300s just to see If I can get good performance from this motor before I sell it.

Yes, the 6s NEEDS batteries to get its potential. The motor can deliver the power, but it is hungry for amps.
