got my hardcorr body. - 10.06.2008, 11:04 PM

well i got it and of course painted it, its storming like mad out side and our power went out WHILE i was painting so i was standing there with a rattle can and a wet body in my hand in the pitch dark waiting on our generator to come on (its automatic).......power has been off for 4 hours now

i also got the flm tranny on, the new slash rear tires (which arent slash style rears they are all slayer style now which pisses me off), rebuilt all the shocks with 50wt in the rear, and 40 in the front, and installed the aluminum caps.

im glad i was able to keep the slash. i would have definetly regreted selling it.

what do you guys think? it also matches the xb8 i painted up a couple months ago.

I like it, keepin' it nice and simple. The RC-Monster decal fits in quite nicely.

nah i painted it on the front porch lol while the wind was blowing like mad...i like my bodies simple as i only do them with rattle cans, and my latest trend is for them all to match kinda like a fleet.

btw this huge body took ALOT of paint compared to anything eles i done lately, now im just waiting on the rear bumpermount from mike

Very good design! It'd look MEAN with some blacked-out rims.

FYI, Pro-Line has released new tires and wheels for the Slash...much nicer alternative to the stockers IMO.

So you can run your 9L in there, but only stock tires?

anything motor wise goes in the mod class lol, but i am supposed to be limited to 2s lipo but no one really cares about that since i cant get it up anyfaster thant he guys running 2s, the 3s is actually a disadvantage due to too much wheel spin, id prolly turn faster laps if i was only geard for 35 on 2s,but im geared for 45 in 3s and its just kinda silly on the track, but i usually put on a good show over the bigg tripple (no one else does it with a slash, but i do backflips over it mid race)

So anything goes for motor, but you have to stick with the crappy stock tires/wheels? That's just silly.

most in the mod class are running 10.5t novak or lrp setups or the vxl or 4600mm. im the only one running anything that run over 35. but i love doing wheelies down the front straight at 40mph kinda just a big laugh when im running, i mean im racing and doing well (won most) but im usually goofing off alot.

but yep stock tires and wheels, corr style bodies, stock shocks (aluminum caps allowed), stock servo, and stock front and rear bumpers must be used, no sway bars, and there is a minimum weight requirement,

The color of the paint job matches the RCM decals nicely
