super strong diffs? - 10.09.2008, 07:18 PM

i'm really frustrated.. I've gone through at least 6 LSP diffs in the last year.. I was just out doing quick sprints up and down the road/sidewalk, and my front and rear diffs both went. what are the STRONGEST diffs available? and if possible.. does anyone know the size of the Baja B5's diffs?

Were you blowing the ring, pinion, or spider gears?

front sounds like spiders, rear sounds like pinion/spider.. not tearing it down for a while..
all the diffs in the past were either or.. don't remember off hand, but i know i've destroyed a few ring/pinions, as well as quite a few spiders.

but.. I bought linc's tc3, and a 380c, i'm gonna go tame 1/10 till I find a bullet proof 1/8 setup =\.

Just build your LSP diffs with Kyosho gear, all you'll be OK for 3 years

Are you shimming everything perfectly? I've never damaged a 1/8 diff in any of my 1/8 buggies/truggies/trucks when shimmed properly, no matter the brand. I know you have a tendency for high power and abuse (thinking back to that touring car vid of yours with the Hacker 8s on 16 cells), but my stuff puts out quite some power too and I'm not easy on these things.
