Hello my friend

Sounds like you have made the same mistake I did unless you have the atomic suspension arms the kit will not work unless you tap holes in the arms.... I am no newb to fabricating and after taping numerous RPM arms to utilize them They honestly impeded performance pretty badly. I have spoken to a few people using them in conjuction with the intended arms and they where less then happy with them.

This is a pretty common mistake I know of more people that have them in the unused pile then the 2 I have seen using them

Hope this helps!

Heath

How do you like that 18T? I've wanted to get one for some time. Maybe I should have gotten one of them instead of a 1/8 truggy, lol.

could not test that setup due to me needing a servo...

stupid ebay store is lagging on shipping

it would not be able to work very well anyways because the body hit the sway bar.. so it really couldnt move.

i drilled some holes in the arm and installed them the right way.

i really dont know how it will make a huge difference... but at the same time i dont think it can hurt anything. (other than the aarm... but my holes are in a good place i think?)

anyways i appreciate the help!

ill let you know how it goes once the servo its here!

have a good day!

I love the RC18... It is a great mini, has tons of potential although it does need a bit of work and there is a few kinks to address in the stock setup to make it a true performer Here is the link to my build http://forums.thetoyz.com/index.php?...%20exotek&st=0

And a few pics

Notice anything different about the suspension?

This is on the more extreme side but is a true 50+ mph mini

Dont get me wrong it is no 1/8 but it is a great R/C and the best mini IMO if you are willing to invest a few dollars into it.

That brings the weight of the shocks closer to the middle, which improves the center of gravity.

Hey guys....

My reasonoing was this... First and foremost I wanted to extend my wheelbase... By flipping the suspension arms I was able to gain an extra 1/4" on each set of lipped arms for a total wheelbase extension of 1/2". This made a huge impact in my high speed handling-stability-response! Secondly I run pretty chopped body's that most leave the shocks exposed.... I was tired of destroying my pretty shocks everytime I took a 40mph roll Sure I could have covered them up but I love the look

As you can see in the pics they were just asking to be destroyed in the previous setup

This took a bit of work to make work and alot of tuning and small little cant notice alterations to make work properly however when all is said and done it made a huge improvement in a veh IMO had little room left This would not make sence for those of you off road bashers but if you are a pavement pounder like me, a carpet or asphalt racer, or just like things low and fast this is a hell of a mod if you take the time to get the tuning locked in.

Just my 2 cents Thanks for the interest my friends and if there is any questions on the setup or the work involved to try it dont hesitate to ask!

Heath
