Gave the LS10 a new body and it's taken a shine to having its belly scoured - 12.21.2008, 05:03 PM

Had some time to get a body painted over the last couple of days. Not sure if a I like the gold on it and the black was suppose to be a charcol and the Candy apple red is well Candy apple red at the right angle and lighting. It looks just like black and red in the pictures. But hey I don't have to wear it. I retired the Nikko body I was using on it.

Making the little fellow wear it probably messed him up for life. Think if your parents sent you to school everyday dressed like Angus Young. Yeah.

While I had it out I took the drill and wire brush to the bottom again. I experimented with some spray on protectant a while back and the stuff ended up turning the bottom a diffierent shade. So I roughed it up again. Wierd but I thought I heard purring but when I stopped the drill the purring stopped.

While I was cleaning up the work area I found some lexan peices from back when I was practicing to make a lexan slipper. To replace the glass one of course. I dusted them off and figured they didn't look to bad from a distance so. I put them on it also. I still need to add the battery straps to the battery tray and some cushion either on the lipos themselve or the trays.

Looking over the pictures now I realize the paint job looks better from a little farther aways. Should of taken some long distant shots to post.

That looks awesome with those Slash tires, how well do they work?

All I ever wanted was an honest weeks pay for an honest days work.

No I didn't do that. I used the parma faskolor paints. They don't have much of a help section or how to with thier paints. Usually it is a coat of like silver after the certain paints they have. I didn't do a real good job with the silver and to top it off I didn't do the darkest first. Putting the charcole over the red/silver back did me in on that. I got a few clear cookie container her from the bakery. I will try and put a light base coat down first and see how it works out. I have two more bodies to do. Thanks for the help any others tips would be appreciated too.

Hey Sullie

Those tires work great on the LS10. When I first got it I tried m2ks, dirt hawgs, step pins, bad lands, moabs, and they did the best job for how I run it.
