Well based on the fact they are using a 1800 nimh - I'd say as bad as you'd expect!

When I see things like that I always say you get what you pay for. So in my estimation a 170 dollar brushless buggy with aluminum parts will be about as good as a 170 dollar brushless buggy with aluminum parts would be.

The short version is that even if I were in the market for a brushless buggy with aluminum parts I think I would skip this one right over.

Looks like it uses one of those "eBay" brushless combos..... But, IDK, if you have a decent setup to put in it then sell the caca setup for a few bucks. Then you end up with a pretty nice buggy for cheap money.

Only problem with that is, the buggy itself is only designed for a 3300kv BL system on 6 cells. It couldn't hold up to any REAL power.

Well I meant better quality components, not necessarily a more powerful system. Though that system with a 2s 4000 LiPo would probably perform much better.

Do they have pics of the chassis and the rest of the vehicle? I can't tell how well it's built from that body-on shot.

I would get one and leave it stock b/c its a cheap rtr that you could do some stock racing with your friends. It would be all about your set up and driving skills, rather than the truck and how much money you have to make it better than the others.

Wow. I know the company that makes that ESC, but I'm sold on the Hybrid sensored/sensorless type ESC now. Too bad the quality of the buggy is not on par with us. It might be a good jump as high as you can vehicle .

I don't know. The price does seem too good to be true, but it does have some decent stuff. It does have metal diffs. Parts seem to be pretty cheap. However, AM radio on a BL setup? Are they serious? And the 8:1 gear ratio seems a tad low, but may be ok depending on the weight. Hopefully the ESC is capable of 3s.

The parts page shows bushings, so I'd probably replace wherever those go with bearings.

I swear I couldn't scroll down before... Ehh doesn't look that bad; again, for what it costs. I dunno if it could handle jumping a house or anything...

Anyone see that Mad Beast 1/8 MT? I think it looks OK.

Could be a good candidate for conversion. $299 aint bad.

I've seen this buggy before (the "wild cat" version). A guy brought it to the track and broke it within the first 5 minutes. Apparently the diffs aren't too good on this buggy. Personally. I'd rather toss down another $100-200 for a better quality buggy. I've been down the "cheap" road one too many times and it always bites me in the a$$ later on.
