LVC device - 10.25.2008, 08:43 PM

I've heard some issues regarding the LVC of VXL esc's. I have just bought a 2s and 3s packs for my Rustler and Stampede. I don't want to ruin these lipos because of faulty LVC. My first choice is a Novak but I think they are "s"-specific so I need to buy one for 2s and one for 3s. Then I came across with
Li-saver and lipo shield and both are not "s"-specific.
Please help me decide on what to buy.
Thank you.

Li-saver and cell shield are not designed for car/truck use, only for planes & helis with forwards/brake only throttles. Mike did used to sell a modified Li-saver that was great, but it has since gone out of production; you are stuck with the Novak items Im affraid.

You can get the Apogee LOA. I use one in my Losi MRC and it works like a champ. It doesn't actually cut the throttle, but the screaming alarm makes you do it.

Edit: Scratch that. It looks like it's discontinued. You might be able to find one around if you look for it though.

Somebody around here probably has an old li-saver car version that they're no longer using.

Maxamps {shudders...} actually have something very close to the LOA, in 2s and 3s flavour:

Thanks Neil and Kulangflow!
It sounds like the best way then is to dispose the vxl and get the sidewinder.
