Project “X” Build 002 “The battle EVO” - 10.07.2008, 02:35 AM

I’ve got my next project LOL..

I'm thinking this would look killer mounted on my GorillaMaxx E-Revo

So stay tuned as I transform my prize build pro into a (Grenade launching) BAD ASS.. and with a range of 30’ that just doesn’t get any better..

Dimension : 7 3/4" Tall, 20" Long, 7.5lb
Range : 30 ft
Velocity : 300 fps

Grenade Cartridges:

The M48 Thunder Grenade has 5 bores that shoot from 1 to 50 6mm paintball pellets in one shot.

The M203 Thunder Grenade can shoot up to 10 .43 caliber paintballs all at once. Oversized .43 caliber paintball can be used to cap off the bore to increase shot capacity to 25 rounds.

The M68 Thunder Grenade is the loudest, the most powerful, and the most versatile of all of our grenades. The M68 can be used with 6mm, .43 caliber, and .68 caliber paintballs, and smoke simulation powder. The M68 has a yawning, hollow cavity that can hold 100 6mm paintballs, in conjunction with smoke powder to add a realistic scent. The bore can be capped off with a .68 caliber ball to keep the 6mm balls and powder in place.
Grenade Ammunition:

Grenade Ammunition:

6mm paintball pellets are best used with M48 and M68 grenade shells.

.43 caliber paintballs are best used with M203 grenade shells. They are also available in an oversized version use to increase M203 shell loading capacity.

.68 caliber paintballs can only be used with M68 grenade shells.

Nerf Rockets can be launched over 50 feet from our grenade launchers. The Nerf Rocket can be loaded in the bore of the Phantom, M203 and RIS M203 grenade launchers. The Nerf Rocket is propelled by discharging the M68 Grenade Shell. The rockets can then take out tanks and buildings in Milsim scenario paintball!

Scented Smoke Simulation Powder works with all grenade launchers to add a true battle field scent, and dramatic puff of "smoke". you just have to love this hobby!..

Before:

After:
TBD:…

Thanks for your time team and have a great one.

Shaun..

P.S.
Here is low res veido of it in action..

it will definetly be hard to top but if your up to it then im sure you will get it done.

considering your first thoughts on this are grenade launcher then i cant imagine everything else it will have!

this time pm me before you make any paintball related purchases

just curious... did death race inspire you to build these trucks? seems that it came out around the same time you started your build

Well since this bad boy is too big to mount in the body that leaves room for (drum roll please) a butane torch out the rear.. You know a nice flame shooting out about 4-5’

I would also like to figure out how to drop percussion / timed bombs behind me as I go (obstacles for others) nothing too big, just enough to blow off a tire and some a-Arms.. If I could find something that goes "bang" about 8 seconds after it leaves the build that would be perfect..

Any ideas ??

OOOoo I will PM you before I head down the road to know where..

Thanks Sir..

i was going to mention a flame thrower but i figured it may be a little dangerous. haha

mini c4 would be tough i would think... youd have to figure a way to light the fuse and at the same time let it go out of the truck...

some bottle rockets may do the truck. finding a way to light it would be easy. the problem would be how to get the bomb outside the truck... well bottle rockets fly off the little stick so that may work.

now i realize that it would not make a huge explosion it still may be cool.

actually now that i think about it what would happen if you somehow attached a bomb to a rocket (get a small rocket that would just shoot the bomb outside the truck)
twist the fuses together so when you light the rocket it will also light the bomb... rocket shoots out of the truck then BOOM! whatever is behind you is gone.
maybe?

im tired as hell so who knows if any of this makes sence.

time for some sleep.

OMG it’s a $1,000 dollars for the complete setup

http://www.rap4.com/paintball/os/m20...ge-p-1337.html

Although a 160 paint balls being released in les than six seconds is quite appealing..

I'll need to sell some toys to fund this one..

Or I could get this and install this in my 808 bugy..

What does the team think… do you want to see my build the EVO or a battle buggy..

Thanks for your time and have a great one

Shaun

P.S.
Wide open to any and all suggestions.. .

your too proud

what type of servo you think will be able to pull the trigger of the grenade launchers?

i know that it will be a hell of alot stiffer than the other gun you got.

Well my JR servo has 400 oz of torque so I figured that would do just fine..

rite??

What I'm really concerned about is when the guns fires, what kind of kick (how strong) it will be ??? will is be soo strong it will flip the build . I’ve gone to several paintball stores to try to test fire one, but no one has them… got any thoughts Ryan??.

400oz of torque should be ok...

from the video i sent you it looks like it does not have enough kick to harm anything on your truck nor make it flip.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vdnPExToCIo

also the guy way the gun sounds makes it seem like the trigger pull will not be too stiff..

then again... knowing its a grenade launcher im sure they make it somewhat tough.

You can disassemble and file the trigger sear down and or alter the springs if paint ball guns use these things. Then it might accidentally fire going over bumps and jumps.
