Just another E-Revo (warning photo content) - 07.18.2008, 10:42 PM

After an Unlucky E-Revo start. I got the replacement axle and made a test run. It was tons of fun. E-Revo with 9XL, MM and 5S2P gear at 62/22 (not ideal but seems to work). The motor got hot a bit 150-170deg (i really need to get a temp gun). The MM is about 130-150 (temp are not accurate). Battery are just warm.

I must say the Bumper are tough..i hit the trees twice and it held its place. Impact was so hard that it peeled of 1/3" of bark from the tree

Runtime is about 25-35mins, not to mention that I have to run it half a mile walking back to my place (just an excuse to clean my tires ) still do its wheelies from time to time

Here are some pics

As always, I suck at doing the wiring

BEFORE ANYONE SAY IT. DONT BLAME ME FOR THE STRAP TANIC FORGOT TO SEND MY BATTERY STRAP I cannot wait anymore so i just found this straps and decided to use it. Glad I did, great bashing time

I noticed that too- I hate all you guys with proper decent cameras.

I like what you've done with the battery trays, traxxas shoulda done that to begin with, only add a little plate/hold down bar above the batts on adjustable posts. Limiting customers on the size of batts they can use is not a good move...

truckBasher

do you mind taking some pics w/o the batteries in?

I'd love to see the mods you did to the chassis. where you did/didnot cut away etc.

tight work by the way.

Actually I was trying to clear the back of the wide tree, but apparently the tire hit the root made the truck turn...then thing was a load sound like a baseball bat hitting the ball...as I rush i just saw the chipped bark....

Hey can you post pics that shows a side angle of your truck with batts installed? No biggy if you cant.

Do you think you could have salvaged any of the top shelf? Maybe to mount the esc etc. It doesn't look like you have the room but just wondering.

I'll try to take that picture later....

If you would look closely (but its hard to tell at this point) the cutoff parts were used to mount the RX box and the ESC/UBEC....i didnt used any spare mount.....
