MMM 2200kv Combo Novak HV Comparison Pics - 12.21.2008, 03:54 PM

I finally had time to put my MMM Combo in my 8ight T with the Losi Conversion. I have been running a Novak HV Pro 6.5 and decided to take some pics comparing the 2.

First off the Motors the Neu/Castle Motor dwarfs the HV

The ESC's are actually pretty close in size although I do admit I wish the MMM had something to actually "bolt it down" with instead of using servo tape.

Here's a pic of the Motor Mount from the Losi conversion. The Losi Motors use larger screw to bolt them on so I made some Nylon bushings so there wouldn't be any slop.

Everything buttoned up in the Truggy

Close Up

I still haven't had a chance to run it so I'm going to try and find a dry parking lot somewhere since the local track is under about a foot of snow but I'm hoping I will like it better than the Novak system which I was actually really happy with. I just could never get the temps reasonable no matter what gearing I was using.

I just got done running it for the first time and all I can say is WOWthis thing blows my Novak system away! I was only able to run it for about 5 minutes before my pinion gear fell off since I didn't locktite the set screw. I can't wait to actually try it out on a track hopefully it won't be too much power!
