Flamethrower is working!.. - 12.02.2008, 09:09 PM

So I got my Flamethrower working and I just thought this was so cool I needed to post it here for the general public.. It’s a quick 60 sec video!.

One lessened learned is I should have soaked down the truck in lighter fluid before filming / OOo well Next TIME!

Not bad, but it lacks range- have you considered some kind of super soaker type flame thrower- that would be most awesome....

We'll see about that. I'm going to run a sheetmetal-armour rollcage and aside from the internals getting hot from lack of airflow your flamethrower will have no effect on me unless I just sit there... lol.

Maybe try putting a fan behind it or compressed air to help push the fluid further and for a hotter more efficient burn.

Actually I was thinking of a rear spraying system, that way I can get them with gas and then the flame just need to touch them!... A little something for a surprise later perhaps

Cool vid! But I agree, making that crap RC flammable will be completely necessary next time .

Neil,

I think you are on to something. Maybe there is a way to mount a "STAND ALONE" battery operated super soaker filled with flameable liquid (mix a little dish washing detergent with it so it sticks to the target)...and once the target is soaked, then let them have it with the flame thrower. Doesn't matter what they do at that point...they will be on fire until the liquid burns off. Just a thought...but hey this is awesome progress in it's current form.

BTW...here is another vid I found:
