Package shipped to WRONG ADDRESS! -
11.06.2008, 06:23 AM
I just received a shipping notice from CC stating that my package had been shipped to "Forest Grove Ln." I do not know how "Forest Creek Dr." can be misinterpretted that badly, I am almost positive I typed my address into the form I shipped (if not, I wrote it as legibly as I possibly could). I forwarded the E-Mail to Support@CastleCreations.com, I really hope the Post Office can correct this
I ran a Live search for "Forest Grove Ln" and it didn't come up with anything, so fortunately ~$270 of Mamba Maxes won't be shipped to some random person.

worst that will happen is the package will be delayed. I have a worthless post office and they screw shit up all the time and it always will get there or here just takes forever.

Got to my Post Office and they could not deliver. The notice I got on the online tracking said they'd hold it a few days, then ship it back to the sender. I'm hoping to be able to get in to the P.O. Saturday and ask them if I can pick them up.

Well, it was shipped back today. Hopefully they E-Mail me back when it gets back to them. Just ship it to the address I sent and I promise it'll make it here

I hope you get your monsters, I have a similar story, they shipped my two monsters (mmm v3) to me and when I opened the box, I had an added surprise, one BRAND NEW NeuEnegry 5s 3700 lipo battery. I called CC, and sent the battery back that day to CC. I'm sure someone was missing their new battery and I wouldn't want to wait, thats why I shipped it back so fast. Morgan did reward me when she shipped my other monsters back (more mmm V3).

These are just regular MMs. Oh well, I think they have some kind of shipping address corrector or something that told them to ship it to that address instead of mine. Hopefully they will ship it to the address I printed on the form this time.

Got a message from CC today while I was at work. Called back on one of my breaks and talked to Morgan about getting it shipped to the right address this time. I checked my E-Mail and they shipped it out this day (pretty fast shipping). Unfortunately they shipped it to the wrong address again! I don't know what it is, but CC isn't the only company that cannot seem to get my address right.
Can I set up some kind of forwarding service at the Post Office so that any package going to this wrong address is automatically forwarded to me? This is really starting to bother me. I'm just glad the address everyone is shipping things to doesn't really exist, otherwise somebody would be getting a LOT of free stuff.

this could be due to an application CC use to print out the addresses. I know one of my clients had a similar issue whereby the zip code points to a different town, and addresses were verified by a third party application, so when the package labels were printed the wrong town was printed because of the zip code. If several companies are messing up your address this probably might be the case.

That's what I'm thinking. I'm going to have to print off the tracking number and take up another one of my lunch hours to go to the Post Office to attempt to retrieve the package. I've got worse things to worry about than a screwed up address, I wish people could just ship items where I told them to.
Can I set up a forwarding service of some kind so that future address discrepancies are simply forwarded to my real address?

Yeah. If I can't pick it up at the Post Office (couldn't do it last time, they couldn't find it the first time I wasted a lunch hour and the 2nd time it had shipped earlier that day) I'll tell them to ship it to my old address. I'm still getting junk mail from my old address so I should hopefully still be able to receive wanted mail. All of this because the Fire Department had to re-number our houses because apparently they can't find the one with smoke pouring out of it.

Yeah if stuff addressed to your old is being sent to the correct place then thats what you should do. But it's still such an inconvenience though. Are your neighbours having similar problems with misdirected maile?

I haven't asked my neighbors, but it seems fair to assume that if it happens to one person it can happen to others. I'll try to remember to call CC on Monday and tell them what's happening. Hopefully I can just pick it up at the Post Office instead of playing hot potato with my Mamba Maxes.

Lol I live in 'Mount Keira' and CC always address it to 'Monte Ciera' for some reason. I've done online orders, emailed them about it, and even rang (international) and spelled it out to the guy, and it didnt change anything lol, every time its 'Monte Ciera'. Meh, gets here OK.

That sucks. I checked the tracking and it should be to the Post Office in town tomorrow, I'll just go down there and hopefully they'll have it waiting for me. I'm dying to get my Mambas back!
EDIT: I should mention that I'm not disappointed in Castle or anything, just frustrated that I keep getting stuff sent to the wrong address. I'm still going to continue buying their products. They make a top-notch product at a good price and they back it up 100%. Not to mention community involvement (Patrick, in particular, has been a great help to many people on this forum). I'm glad that it got held at the P.O instead of going to some random guy who may not be honest enough to send it back. I think next time I'll put in my old address to avoid the confusion.
