Rootar's RC8T - 12.05.2008, 12:37 AM

should have my package from mike to finish it up tomorrow, its running gear is in my sig, i screwed the body up so it looks like crap but maybe not so bad....

i finished my rear chassis skid and my MMM clamp (aluminum version of traxxas' erevo mmm mount.) i do still have to get tires, but josh is gonna let me try a few out this weekend so ill know what i like on the truck.

went with 7-7-3 in the diffs since our track is really rough and bumpy.

Is it out yet? Last I heard they had to be sent back and re anodized. Have had mine built for a month waiting on this. Should balance nicely.

Are you using one of Mike's new 5s2p lipos? How long are your run times?

yep awesome battery, i got just over 18 minutes out of it when it was 40 outside (lipos suck in the cold and runtime suffers) so when summer and the 90+ weather comes around we should barely be able to squeeze a 20 mintue main out of it. lipo was only 60 degrees at the end of the run the motor was only 92

im putting together a little write up, maybe mike will let me post it with some pics in the product reviews section. i have yet to get ahold of him today to ask.

i dont have a video shaun (gf went to a christmas party that night) but the first time i drove the truck on race day i checked out in the first qualifier and lapped half the class in 5 minutes...... i ran my personal fastest times the first time i ran the truck, its that good. a full 2.5 seconds faster than the xray that ive been dailing in the setup on for the past 6 months.......this truck rails turns like nothing ive ever seen.

i even had complaints vocied DURING the Amain that my truck wasnt fair to run...and NOT because i was only pitting but once.

That's awesome. I can't wait to get mine together. Are you using the 1515 2.5d like in your sig or are you using something else while it's getting built?
