The new Bishop Power Products thread -
12.08.2008, 05:44 AM
Bishop Power Products was known for a long time as a place to buy r/c at a good price with great customer service. You could find recomendations about Troy on all the r/c forums. This summer that took a downward turn, and unfortunately some people have outstanding orders. It is my understanding that Troy fell on hard times, and as the sole proprietor of BPP there was no one who had the knowledge to help him. Things happen. I'm paralyzed chest down, and I'm writing this from a bed, I'm one month into 4 months of bedrest. Life isn't always easy.
I've made contact with Troy once about e-mikes outstanding order, and he asked for the order details and I believe he will make things right.
Do not bash Troy or BPP here, it will be deleted. I've got 24hrs a day to be online, so I'm going to try and help Troy clear his name, as I believe he is a good guy, and hopefully get some people what they deserve.

When I saw the title, I thought to myself "Uh-oh, here's another one of those threads...". Hopefully everything works out for everyone.

Very nice, I hope to see all of this go in a positive direction.
_paralyzed_, it's great to have you on here and the positive way you go about life. You remind me much of my Uncle, who was once a high powered executive for billion dollar corporation. He has little money left. He is diabetic and has had both legs removed at the knee, is mostly blind, has a transplanted kidney, among multiple other health issues. His spirit and attitude always remains positive. He never complains as of which I have never seen you do either.
Your whit and humor is much appreciated on my part!

It's a bad situation for everyone involved. Don't worry about the bad comments, you have every right to be angry. I hope I can help some people out...

I have to say that I have made numerous orders with Troy. The last few were interesting. They took a very long time but they always ended up getting here. He even upgraded my sidewinder order to a MM for nothing.
Savage: FLM Conversion, 6s, MMM, CC 1520.
Mini-T Pro: Micro Pro 6800kv, Lipo, HS-81mg, Dirt Hawgs
M18MT: Quark 33A, Y22S 6000kv, FP 2s Lipo
LRP S8-BX: RC-M Conversion, Tekin RX8 B1600KV, 6S.

I would have to say that if I had a bad experience(never ordered from the guy) I would post on here. Because he used to be a good guy doesn't mean he still gets things done right. Multiple outstanding orders is something that should be noted for future customers so there are no suprises. While I hope everything works out for him and his customers, I would also hope that the mods on this forum see how important feedback is for us potential customers. We praise some companies for their outstanding service and products, we should be able to post negatively if we have negative experiences. Just my .02c. Like I said, I hope it all works out and he gets his customers straightened out. Just don't delete what could be valuable information about a company because they used to be good.
The answer is no. And yes, mine is faster.

I absolutely agree, but I am on a mission and that is not what this thread is for. Post in a different thread, or start your own. Mods please delete this and the above post.

Troy just e-mailed me and is trying to fund the outstanding orders, but that takes time. I will update as I can.

I've devised one genius of a plan guys! It'll take me a couple months probably, but one way or another there will be resolution to this.

I believe, since the other thread has been closed, this should be posted here. Remember, this is NOT a public forum so much as a way answer questions abut MIKES products and show off our own pojects. By trying to save a dud company you are directly taking business away from Mike. Here is Mike's quote from the other thread
"I will throw in my 5 cents, though:
It is unfortunate that some folks have apparently been shafted by this situation, and I too have been "shafted" when BPP sold below MAP. No doubt many of these "problem" sales replaced my own sales. That is business, unfortunately. It is unfortunate that this situation has come to be, but I admittedly have only limited remorse for the folks that come here for the information and discussion, and then go elsewhere to buy - and sometimes even post here that they bought elsewhere. Yep, the situation sucks, but I have lost plenty of money indirectly over the years by these very happenings. So you thought you saved a couple dollars and eventually it comes back to bite you. I guess it sucks for all of us - sucks for the guys that chose to buy elsewhere to save a buck and got screwed, and it sucks that I was not able to capture those very sales and deliver as promised, and as I always try to do. Glad I got that off my chest - it has been bothering me for a while. I will get off my horse now."
The answer is no. And yes, mine is faster.
