I think I first saw these on Monster Garage maybe 5 years ago or so. I think they tried to use it to beat a high jumper and were unsuccessful.

I'm not sure how you'd fill out the insurance form on this one

It depends which model you get . They start around $400.00 & go up from there .

There was a segment about them on Modern Marvels last night. Maybe it's just the newest design that costs that much. They used "helicopter blade fiberglass" for the spring.
