Winter blues - my temporary cure - 12.31.2008, 11:34 AM

Well, I have a week off of work (thank god!). I decided to
take a small road trip to Mass to RC Excitement to use their
indoor dirt (clay) track. Beautiful drive through Vermont >
New Hampshire > Mass. Picked up a set of tools at their HS,
and then decided to drain some lipos....

I recently tore down my revo for winter cleaning, upgraded a
few things, rebuilt my diffs, etc...I put my revo back together and
decided to try it out in mid-winter.

Made the 3.5 hour drive and had a grin from ear to ear using their
track. I brought wrong tires though. Since it is more of the hard-pack
clay track, I needed something with closer smaller pins - I was sliding all over the pace! The thicker front diff oil helped accelerating out of hard
breaking through the corners.

To make a long story short, I was in the car for 7+ hours to drive my
truck for 2+ hours... Doesn't make any sense, but I needed to drive
on on track. I can't wait for spring!

Sounds like you had a good time. Don't feel to bad, I drove about the same to go to the RC-M bash, and I'll do it again!
